ISO/IEC 9001
ISO/IEC 9001 proposes a requirement for the calibration of quality-related measuring means. This does not imply that ISO/IEC9001 demands that all measuring instruments need to be calibrated. This common mistake often leads to the choice of "cheap" calibrations. These calibrations are executed with traceable devices but that's only 10% of the story. It is guaranteed that the accredited executed calibrations meet the demands of ISO/IEC9001. The credo is:
