Fast - Accurate - Broadband
The RadiPower® is a RF power head designed for CW power measurements during EMC testing. A range of power heads is available to measure RF power from 9 kHz up to 18 GHz. The RadiPower® is an affordable, fast and accurate RF power head with USB interface for easy connection. The RPR2006C covers a frequency band from 9 kHz up to 6 GHz and is able to perform measurements with an accuracy of 0.15 dB. The RPR2018C covers a frequency band from 80 MHz up to 18 GHz and is able to perform measurements with an accuracy of 0.2 dB. This range of heads makes effective immunity measurements in accordance with EMC standards possible.
Plug in card
The RadiPower® RF power head can be connected to a USB1004A plug-in card using USB connectors. This plug-in card can support up to four RadiPower® heads enabling forward- and reflected power measurments of two amplifiers with only one instrument. The plug-in card fits in the RadiCentre® EMC measurement system, which is available in a 1-slot (CTR1001S) or 7-slot version (CTR1009B).
Stand-alone
The RadiPower® power head can also be used in stand-alone configuration. In that case the power head is directly connected to a PC by means of an USB cable and the measured power levels are displayed on the PC using the RadiMon® monitoring program (standard included).
Fast
The RadiPower® RF power meter is extremely fast especially at low- or varying power levels, which is often the case when immunity tests are performed at low immunity levels. The fast measurement capability can result in an overall measurement speed improvement of more than 50%.
High dynamic range
The RadiPower® 6 GHz provides a dynamic range of > 65 dB and the RadiPower® 18 GHz provides a dynamic range of > 55 dB, which makes them extremely suitable for all typical immunity applications and standards.
Wide band
With two models covering a frequency band from 9 kHz till 18 GHz makes the RadiPower® a perfect product for all EMC measurements including Military-, Automotive- and CE marking EMC immunity testing.
High precision measurements
The RadiPower® measures with an accuracy of 0.15 dB (RPR2006C) or 0.2 dB (RPR2018C) over the complete band it therefore it is suitable for testing in accordance to EN61000-4-3/-6 or ISO11452-2/-3/-4/-5/-7.
Immunity Applications
Immunity applications require either the field or the power to be measured. Actual fields can be measured with the RadiSense® LASER powered E-field sensor. The RadiPower® is capable of measuring the power levels. Very often forward- as well as reflected power has to be measured. As the RadiPower® USB1004A plug-in card can control up to four heads the RadiPower® solution is ideal for EMC power measurements.
Measurement Uncertainty
As impedance mismatch is often the main contribution to the measurement uncertainty the RadiPower® has a very Low Standing Wave Ratio (SWR). This results into very good measurement uncertainties with the RadiPower®.
