Antenna Masts, Polarisator and Turntables

RadiControl ®

RadiControl^® is a universal versatile controller plugin card for the RadiCentre® EMC mainframe that provides full control over virtual any brand of antenna tower and/or turntable, including the RadiTurn® (turntable) and RadiTower® (antenna mast) . Next to this the controller supports frequency inverters, potential-free contacts (up/down & on/off) and turntable angle encoders. The RadiControl®installed in a RadiCentre 2-slot or 8-slot mainframe can be used manually using the TFT touchscreen display and/or can be automatically controlled using DARE!! Instruments software package RadiMation® test software.

RadiTurn ®

RadiTurn^® is a low profile RF transparent surface mounted turntable. In many applications it is difficult to integrate a turntable into the groundplane of an EMC test site. This is especially true for Open Area Test Sites and Anechoic chambers. Not only the space beneath the floor is limited or absent, but also the electrical connection of the turntable with the surrounding floor often leads to great disturbance problems and high maintenance costs. This is why D.A.R.E!! Instruments has designed a low profile RF transparent turntable. With a height of less than 80 mm and no reflective planes, this table is excellent for use in both new and existing EMC test environments. This combined with a maximum load capacity of 10.000 kg and a point load capacity of 250 kg, makes this a highly unique product.

RadiTower ®

RadiTower^® is a robust EMC antenna tower for EMC use. The EMC antenna tower is completely RF transparent because of use off polycarbonate/PVC, and is weather proof and non hygroscopic.This is an excellent solution for use on an Open Area Test Site (1-4m scan) or for an Antenna Calibration Site (1-6m scan). The engine can be mounted next to or under the tower, depending on the specific site situation. The position of the EMC antenna tower is measured by means of an absolute encoder on the engine. This delivers a standard accuracy of approximatelt 10 mm. For extended use of EMC antenna calibrations, a high precision sensor can be mounted to the centre of the antenna, thus obtaining an increased height accuracy of 1 mm. A software protection is implemented that controls the upper- and lower limit, motor direction and motion detector.
  

RadiPol ®

RadiPol^® is an electronic LASER powered antenna polarisator for switching the antenna between horizontal and vertical positions. The electronic control is arranged by an DC electromotor that is fitted into a small compartment that is mounted to the antenna mast/boom. The DC electromotor is powered by battery pack that is charged by LASER. The compartment is covered by ferrite absorbers to prevent EMC disturbances.
The main advantages of the RadiPol® polarisator are that it provides a very smooth control of the antenna position, it has two potentiometers to calibrate the horizontal and vertical position, it provides an exact feedback of the antenna position and it will replace compressors (for air controlled polarisators) that produce a lot of noise.
