Cranebusiness B.V.

The company is specialized in importing cranes from Japan and China (for instance: the brands Kobelco, Hitachi and Sumitomo). Cranebusiness B.V. selects and inspects these cranes personally after which the cranes are being modified by re-engineering according to the European standards. For example, the cranes are being provided with new cabels and/or safe load indicators, before tests and inspections are performed by licensed testing- and inspection companies.

EMC emission tests

Commissioned by Cranebusiness B.V, EMC emission tests are being performed by DARE!! Consultancy to determine if a crane doesn’t generate too much electromagnetic interference. This could cause problems in the area where the crane is used. Given the large size of the crane, DARE!! Consultancy performs these EMC emission measurements on-site.

To determine the high frequency emission behavior of the crane, the emission is measured with the help of an antenna with a corresponding signal receiver around the crane (on all four sides) the emission is being measured. The emission is measured in a frequency range from 30 MHz to 1GHz. The antennas are both horizontally and vertically polarized to determine the maximum emission. By comparing the measured values with the limit values it can be determined whether the emission requirement is met.
